About Purium Metals
Purium Metals was established in 2023 to utilise the vast natural resources in Australia to produce the critical materials needed to power the energy transition in a manner leads to a cleaner, better world.
Semiconductors are the backbone of technology, managing the flow of electricity around all of today's electronic devices. The importance of semiconductors in the energy transition by optimising the energy efficiency of technology cannot be overstated. Globally, there is a significant amount of R & D into new semiconductor structures and materials, requiring constant development of new and innovative materials.
Purium Metals is utilising the latest techniques as well as some tried and tested methods of production to meet the needs of today and tomorrow in a sustainable and energy efficient way.

Dr Nicholas Welham
Founder and Technical Director
Dr Whelam is a hydrometallurgy specialist with significant experience across a range of processes and technologies for the separation, concentration and purification of materials. He has had in excess of 50 patents granted for process that he has invented and developed.

Carnac is a multi-disciplinary engineering company delivering engineering and design solutions which support the client’s ambitions for sustainable mining, minerals, and chemical processing operations.
